Dyrholæy Iceland

Image of Dyrholæy Iceland

During my 2015 artist residency at Gullkistan I ventured into the south east. Ultimate destination- Jökulsárlón! Along the way I visited the stunning nature reserve Dyrholæy. It was an incredibly stormy, windy day with 70 to 80 foot waves breaching the cliffs.
Bracing myself upon the cliff edge I shot this image/panorama. Looking east towards Vík í Mýrdal and the trolls Reynisdrangar rising up in the sea.

Recommended music while viewing: Samaris, Nótt on Silkidrangar.
